Shires Association of NSW Annual Conferences
The Shires Association is an association of councils representing regional and rural councils to provide leadership and advocacy for the benefit of the community. Over 450 delegates from member councils as well as representatives of Regional Organisations of Councils meet each year at the Shires Conference to discuss and set policy for the coming year. The conference venue is the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel, 61-101 Phillip Street, Sydney.

Challenges - bring them on!
Monday 1 June to Wednesday 3 June 2009
The opening ceremony for the conference will be held on Monday 1 June, the conference business sessions will run on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 June, with the conference dinner on the Tuesday evening.
Motions for the conference are due no later than Friday 13 March 2009 to shiresconference@lgsa.org.au. Registration details, a draft program and an information booklet regarding voting, motions and their lodgement will be available early 2009.
